During a holiday, the island's own fragrance "Acqua dell’Elba" was discovered. The entrepreneur Eveline Fasser Testa was inspired by it and thought: Why don't we have that in St. Moritz? We have so much visual appeal, so many culinary taste experiences, photos, and memories that define St. Moritz. But nothing that also appeals to the sense of smell, thereby creating an emotional connection to St. Moritz and recalling a unique stay.
In collaboration with perfumer Geza Schön, the entrepreneur developed the first fragrance INVIERN. Inviern is the Romansh word for "winter". The scent of St. Moritz INVIERN transports you to a fresh winter's day in the mountains. This fragrance is available as a room diffuser with rattan sticks, as well as a candle.
The perfumer Geza Schön is considered a rebel and revolutionary in the world of fragrance – and not just in his native Germany. His radical creations ignore the classic fragrance pyramid as well as the constraints of the market or industry. They have not only changed the perception of fragrances but also the way they are created: in 2002, he became a self-employed perfumer. Geza Schön lives and works in Berlin.
From the beginning, the idea was to create a proprietary fragrance line for ST. MORITZ. The second fragrance, ENGIADINA, followed in the summer of 2015 and inspires a summer hike in the mountains.
The room fragrance line was complemented in 2021 with perfumes for each season. The Swiss perfumer Andreas Wilhelm created the new fragrances PRÜMAVAIRA (Spring), STED (Summer), and UTUON (Autumn). INVIERN was also revised by Andreas to match the three new fragrances.
For the new collection, only the best was good enough: The sustainable essences come from Switzerland, as does the creator of the fragrances. Andreas was inspired by the Engadine nature and the seasons: Swiss pine, mountain spruce, gentian, juniper bushes, violets, chestnuts, and the lush mountain meadows all flowed into his creations.
The perfumer Andreas Wilhelm is a free spirit; he loves life, to laugh, but above all, he is a perfumer – with body and soul! In 2008, he opened his own studio to pursue his passion for fragrances with Wilhelm Perfume. Today, Andreas brings all his professional know-how and creative vision in handling fragrances to every one of his projects. Andreas Wilhelm lives and works in Zurich.
